What is CHUGALUG?
Our next meeting . . .CHUGALUG meetings are now being held on the third Thursday of each month at 7:00 PM at Rivers CrossingWhen possible, they are also streamed live over Ustream. Meetings always begin with 15-20 minutes of introductory material intended for people who are new to the topic. After that, the presentation moves on to a more advanced discussion. This January, we will be going to Four Athens instead of the regular meeting. Please see the top of this page for more information. |
Preseeding the Debian InstallerBy Brian PittsDate: April 16th, 2009 Brian presented on his experience with preseeding the Debian installer. He has used this while preparing hundreds of laptops with Free IT Athens. The Debian installer is able to read answers to virtually any question it asks from a preseed configuration file. He detailed how to create the file, including how to install a package interactively and then to read your answers from the debconf database. Various methods were demonstrated for starting the installer and specifying the preseed file. His presentation is available here |
